Notes time! A certain bright character’s name means “light”, so enjoy the concept of making yet another name pun.  And speaking of name puns, the three girls from Mizuki’s past each have first and last names that phonetically start with the words for “one”, “two”, and “three”.  Clever, right?

There would be more typesetting if a certain person wasn’t being tortured by the sudden heat wave.  But come to think of it, it’s much hotter where I am.  Guess there’s a higher concentration of idols down here.

Where did my last 32 weeks just go? Anyway, two minor decisions this episode were brought to you by the power of flipping a coin.  This episode also had the most spoken lines in a single Aikatsu episode thus far, and would have had the longest typeset if I had had my way.  However, I always keep the viewers in mind, so I spared you the cpu usage.

Okay! Finally got this episode out (messing with kfx is suffering, don’t do it). Lots of fun little things I got to do with the translation too. Only note is about kinpira, and the root vegetable they mention gobo. It’s just a type of stir-fry.

I like shiny things

Ah, finally out. You have things from real life to blame for the delays. So, in celebration I’ve got a couple of simple notes for you. As we found out thanks to discussion sparked by Commie’s release of last week’s Aiura, there’s no good way to keep a phrase or joke about honorifics in translation without sounding awkward or just plain bad. Now, we may keep honorifics in, but there’s not a good way to say “without honorifics”, 呼び捨て (yobisute).  As such, we changed what Aoi says a little bit, and hope you understand the change. The second note is about a thing called a “lifelog”, basically just some sort of recording of one’s entire daily life. Check it out on wiki here or just accept the explanation in-episode.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Next week’s episode will also be delayed, hopefully only by one day. Yeah, real life strikes again.
