And with this, the Dream School Grand Prix begins! Even with the compressed time available, Noelle’s development is masterfully written with both overt and subtle references to past themes and episodes, all with great pacing. There was one interesting art error (a certain Neo of the Venus Ark was missing), but that was more than made up for with the reveal of some amazing designs. Next episode isn’t until May 30th, so try and hang in there until then.
Ya know I’m finally enjoying the show again because I’m going into them with no brain cells working yes. That is the way just be dumb and not expect actual story or actually and real story writing to be put into them.
One thing that genuinely surprised me about the web series is that despite its limited length, the story goes out of its way to handle Noel’s character development in an way that feels really organic and well done in contrast to Raki’s which was all over the place. In that sense, the web series really feels more like an extension of Ogkatsu than Parade, which I can really appreciate. This and the previous episode were what I’d always wanted for Noel, and even though the end product is on an smaller scale that what I’d prefer, it’s pretty much adequate for her growth and character development.
Second episode: two weeks wait
Third episode: three weeks wait
Fourth episode: four weeks wait
Uhm, I’m starting to sense a pattern.
Also, the second Blu-ray Box for On Parade is scheduled to release on August 5, and Noelle’s episodes (this ONA) is going to be included in the release. Assuming they don’t release anything on BD before it airs online, the ONA looks like it will finish by the end of July (or at least by/on August 5).
The breaks between episodes/parts seem really random, so I’m curious how many episodes it will be total.
Thanks for the episode 😁💜
