My unbiased 2 cents on 嗣子の子落とし would be something like Long lost heir(male?) or possibly trying to get rid of the current heir.
I haven’t watched the anime, so I have no idea what it is about~
What it basically means is that there’s a myth that lions drop their cubs down a cliff to make them tougher. It goes with the whole “fight all on your own” thing as well as the “climbing up a cliff to your goal” thing. If you’d seen the series, I’d direct you to the episode where Ichigo scales Angely Mountain, but oh well.
