After it says “3 months ago”, we see Izumi talking to the basement old man about her plan for weakening Akkey during the Calm. I don’t think much time passes after that before the Calm comes, so it’s safe to assume 2-3 months have passed since Mirai took KnK unto herself.

Oh okay, so it’s kinda like Samurai Deeper Kyo or Full Metal Alchemist (first anime) where the anime is essentially its own story with few, if any, links to the source material?

Don’t worry, the story in the LN apparently deviates a lot from the anime, or rather the anime deviates from the LN. KyoAni has a habit of adding in anime-original characters to their series, and characters personalities and motivations were also changed (or so I heard). If they ever get translated, it’ll be a (sort of) different story, not more of the same.

I may have missed some minor details. But looking at the yellow leaf colour when he actually woke up, is it safe to assume he’s been out for quite a while?

I’m also looking forward to the last couple episodes. This show is so good. Episode 10 in particular was huge treat for those who like like plot twists and reveals. So many different perspectives on the earlier episodes now, especially why she didn’t want to get close to Aki.

The only thing I don’t like is that there is a light novel that this is adapted from which means there’s more to the story that I’ll likely never see. =(
